5.2/10

My stay at Tropical Paradise was a mixed bag. On one hand, the service was really good, especially Henry, who's a real gem. The location is also fantastic, with a great jetty for enjoying the waterside. However, the rooms felt dated and could use some refurbishing, and the food was a hit or miss (the Sunday grill was especially disappointing). Overall, it’s good value for the price, but some improvements would enhance the experience.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were clean but quite outdated, with some being a bit noisy at times. While my budget room had air conditioning, it was basic, and the cabanas offered more comfort and luxury. However, I did notice the furniture looked tired.
Service
8.0
Service was fantastic and made me feel at home. Henry was especially helpful, and I appreciated the security staff who had my key when I returned late.
Location
7.0
The location was great, right by the beach and with access to a jetty. However, it was near a cemetery, which felt a bit off-putting at first, but turned out to be more picturesque.
Dining
6.0
The dining options were generally good, but I found some dishes, like the conch steak, to be overcooked. Breakfast was okay, but the prices seemed high for the portion sizes. The homemade rolls were a nice touch.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities included a nice jetty and some areas to relax by the pool, but overall, they felt a bit shabby compared to what I expected. The housekeeping kept the room clean, but I noted some essentials were missing.

6.6/10

My stay at Tropical Paradise was quite the mixed bag. The location was great, being tucked away from the busier parts of Caye Caulker, yet close enough to walk to restaurants and the ferry. However, the rooms were dark and drab, making it feel less inviting. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and the pier with loungers was a lovely spot to relax by the sea.

Rooms
6.0
The room was simple but clean with comfortable beds, yet poorly lit and lacking in decor. I missed having a bedside table or a closet for my belongings during my stay. The bathroom could definitely use some refurbishment too.
Service
7.0
The staff were quite friendly and helpful when I needed assistance. They were quick to respond when I had a small issue with my bathroom. However, there were moments where customer service could have been improved, especially at check-out.
Location
8.0
Located at the quieter end of the island, it was peaceful at night, which I appreciated. Plus, it was just a short walk to popular spots, giving me the best of both worlds during my stay.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was decent, though the dining area felt a bit unfinished. I found better breakfast options just a short walk away, which was a nice alternative.
Facilities
7.0
The private pier and dock area were lovely spots to relax. I really enjoyed the tranquility and views, even if the overall facilities felt a bit basic.

7.0/10

My stay at Tropical Paradise was a mixed bag. The location was fantastic, close to everything yet quiet enough to get some sleep. Henry from the staff really stood out with his excellent service and helpful recommendations. However, the room was dated and cleanliness wasn't up to par, which left me a bit disappointed.

Rooms
6.0
I switched from a budget room to one of the cabanas, which had a touch more luxury but wasn’t pristine. The room felt a bit unclean on arrival, and it had no water kettle despite the description. It was also on the noisy side since I was near the party area.
Service
7.0
Service was fantastic, especially from Henry who was super helpful. However, I felt like a bit of an imposition at times, which was odd. They need to improve their housekeeping as I faced issues with towel changes during my stay.
Location
8.0
The location was great! It was far enough from the busier part of Caye Caulker that it was peaceful, but close enough to walk to the popular spots. Plus, the jetty was perfect for enjoying the sunrise.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was okay, and I enjoyed their Sunday grill, though the conch steak was a bit overcooked. The food quality during regular meals was good for the island's standards.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has nice grounds and a pool area that I enjoyed. However, features like the coffee maker were lacking items needed to actually make coffee without extra charges, which was frustrating.

7.0/10

I had a decent stay at Tropical Paradise, but it wasn't without its drawbacks. The location was great, being close to the beach and within walking distance to many attractions. However, the rooms were quite basic with furniture that felt tired, and the air conditioning seemed to have some issues. Overall, it served its purpose for a budget stay, but I can see why others might prefer a more upscale option.

Rooms
6.0
The room was basic with a single and double bed, and although it did have AC, the bedding felt worn and the sheets were thin. The cleanliness was satisfactory, but I experienced a persistent noise issue whenever other guests moved around outside. I couldn't help but feel that for the price, there are better options available on the island.
Service
5.0
Service quality was hit or miss. While some staff members were friendly, the communication around housekeeping was frustrating. I had to remind them about towel changes multiple times, and my check-out experience was also problematic as no one was at the front desk during the specified hours.
Location
8.0
The location was one of the highlights for me. It was set away from the busier part of Caye Caulker, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep but still close enough to all the popular spots. I enjoyed going to the nearby pier and beach, although being next to a cemetery was a bit unusual.
Dining
6.0
The on-site restaurant was decent, though a bit pricey for what you get. I didn't eat there often, but breakfast from nearby places like Amor y Cafe was truly good and worth exploring.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were very minimal; there was a pool and it had a nice ambiance. However, I found the lack of maintenance on some aspects disappointing, like the shared deck area, which was quite tiny and sparse. The amenities were basic but adequate for a budget stay.

7.4/10

Tropical Paradise had a fantastic location, being close to town and right on the beach, which I loved. However, the condition of the room was disappointing. The bathroom was cramped and had some maintenance issues, while the beds were uncomfortable. The staff were friendly, but service was inconsistent, particularly in the restaurant.

Rooms
6.0
My room had a great view and was spacious, though it felt a bit outdated. The bedding was uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night's sleep.
Service
5.0
The front desk staff were generally helpful, but I experienced significant delays during check-in and breakfast service. Some staff members seemed a bit inattentive.
Location
8.0
The location was excellent, just a few blocks from the center of Caye Caulker yet still quiet at night. I appreciated being close to the beach, where I could swim.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited, and the restaurant staff were sometimes unhelpful. My breakfast took far too long to arrive, and I didn't find the food appealing.
Facilities
5.0
While the pool area was nice, it felt underutilized and could use more atmosphere. The hotel itself seemed to need more maintenance.
